Review for the tasks in August 2017

In August, apart from conducting private tours, Frank celebrates his seven-year anniversary to be a tour guide.

I prepare the useful souvenir for clients.

I also handle impacts of bad weather on private tour bookings.

When Hong Kong is waiting for the completion of high speed railway, I get a new private tour idea, which relates to the experience of fast train and Opium War.

Celebrate seven-year anniversary to be a tour guide

2017 is Frank’s seven-year anniversary to be a tour guide.

I still enjoy introducing Hong Kong and Macau to the travelers.

The “seven-year itch” obviously doesn’t affect Frank.

Frank will go on to be traveler’s CEO (Chief Experience Officer) in Hong Kong and Macau!

 

Apart from offering good private tour service to the clients, I am going to give them the useful souvenir as the gift.

Prepare useful souvenir for clients

Frank has made and given the memorabilia, the Hong Kong and Macau postcard, to clients for a long time.

In August, I prepare the new souvenir, the canvas bag, for the coming clients.

 

I hope the canvas bag can be the useful souvenir for the new clients.

 

When clients go shopping in Hong Kong and Macau, they can store their stuff inside the environmental friendly and reusable canvas bag.

Handle impacts of bad weather on private tour bookings

When Frank is writing this review of August, a new tropical cyclone is approaching the southern part of China.

 

Hope it won’t cause too much damages!

Actually two tropical cyclones, Severe Typhoon Hato and Severe Tropical Storm Pakhar, bring quite a lot of damages to Hong Kong and Macau in August, which is the climax of the typhoon season.

 

I need to cancel two private tour bookings in August. The clients have gotten full refund according to the easy cancellation policy.

My friend, driver Mr Li of Macau, actually suffers the losses after the serious flooding in Macau!

Hope Macau and Mr Li can recover from the losses sooner.

Get new private tour idea, experience the fast train and Opium War

When Hong Kong is waiting for the completion of high speed railway system and discussing about the co-location arrangement between Hong Kong Immigration and Mainland China Immigration, Frank gets a new private tour idea.

The co-location arrangement, which is similar to the joint immigration clearance between Canada and the USA, and the fast high speed train shorten the travel time to go to Mainland China from Hong Kong.

 

 

Then I can set the easy and enjoyable private tour program to bring the travelers to experience the made in China high speed train service to go to see the Opium War heritage at Humen and Guangzhou.

 

 

 

Although Hong Kong was ceded to the British Government as the colony due to the Opium War, it is difficult to find the heritage about the important war, which opens the door of imperial China to the World, in Hong Kong!

 

 

This idea gives me the reason to have the inspection / sightseeing trip to go to Guangzhou and Humen again.
